2020 is (finally) almost over! While we know things won’t change as soon as the clock hits midnight, we are looking forward to next year. According to studies, more than 80% of New Year’s resolutions fail. After all, many people decide to make major changes that may not be sustainable for them to maintain over the long term. So, since hindsight is 20/20, we decided to look back at this past year, and see where we can be and do better. While certain things were beyond our control (hello shipping delays!), we are committed to improving ourselves and our business every year.
Our 2021 New Year’s Resolutions are to:
Set A Schedule
We knew it would be tough to start our own business, but that didn’t stop us from getting a little overwhelmed when the orders really started coming in. We were so busy making and shipping craft beer soaps that our online presence kind of fell by the wayside. In 2021, one of our goals is to set and stick to an online schedule. The first of our 2021 New Year’s Resolutions is to be better about having a planned online presence schedule for our new craft beer soaps, blogs, and social media posts.

One of the most common questions we get asked is “how do you make it?” As much as we love chatting with people, it would be so much easier to show you! That’s why one of our 2021 New Year’s Resolutions is to share more content. Next year we are planning on sharing more with y’all, including insight into our creative process in the form of both blogs and behind-the-scenes pictures and videos. If there’s anything in particular you want to see/learn, please let us know!
Be More Eco Friendly
We try to be eco-conscious; the majority of our craft beer soap is packaged in recyclable materials, we only use responsibly and/or sustainably sourced ingredients, and we recycle and/or reuse the all of bottles, glasses, cans, growlers, howlers, crowlers, etc. we can. However, we can always do better! Our plan to fulfill this 2021 New Year’s Resolution is to reduce our use of single use plastics. Some of our soaps are too large to fit in the recyclable boxes. In the past we would shrink wrap them but, moving forward, these soaps will be packaged in reusable organza bags. In addition, all of our plastic bags (for purchases at in-person events) will be made of biodegradable plastic.

Make More Soap
I know this past year has been hard for everyone, and we are so thankful and appreciative of all of the love y’all have shown us and other small businesses (including craft breweries!). That is why our last 2021 New Year’s Resolution is to make more soap! We have been struggling to keep some of y’alls favorite craft beer soaps in stock, so this year we will be making more soap by making bigger batches, as well as making craft beer soap with more new craft beers.
