We hate cancelling orders just as much as you hate having your order cancelled. But we promise that, whenever we have to, we have a good reason.
So, why was your beer soap order cancelled? There are a few possibilities.
If your order was cancelled, there is a chance that it’s our fault. You know how we make our beer soap by hand? Well, we do pretty much everything that way. We take the pictures, maintain the website, write the blogs, and do the inventory. Unfortunately, that also means we make the mistakes, like miscounting. If your order was cancelled due to a lack of availability, you’ll receive an e-mail from us profusely apologizing, and outlining your options; it will be up to you if you’d like a refund, or to swap for another beer soap.
Another reason you may find your Shopify order cancelled is because it was flagged as potentially fraudulent. As much as we trust you, we are a small business, and can’t afford to take the risk of potentially absorbing the loss.
So, why was your Shopify order flagged as a fraud risk? Shopify conducts a fraud analysis on every order to identify the chances of an order being fraudulent. The Shopify fraud analysis looks at multiple factors such as a mismatch of provided information and the information on file, where the order was placed from, the shipping address, how many payment attempts were made, and if the order characteristics are similar to past fraudulent orders. If your Shopify order was cancelled due to being identified as high risk, you will receive an e-mail notifying you of the cancellation. In this case, you are welcome to repurchase using an alternate payment method.
Regardless of the reason, we truly do hate having to cancel orders. If you feel that your order was cancelled in error, please feel free to reach out to us by responding via e-mail, or through our Contact Us page.
